OBJECTIVE OF MVFD

            The Meeteetse Volunteer Fire Department consist of 16
            active members and 4 reserves. 

            The objective of this organization shall be to protect people
            and property from injury and loss of life.  To maintain
            equipment for this purpose, to make regular inspections and
            report fire hazards to the Wyoming State Fire Marshal.
            Perform any other duties that may be necessary to reduce fire
            hazards and prevent losses by fire within the boundaries of the
            Meeteetse Fire District. 

            The Park County Fire Protection District # 3 (aka Meeteetse
            Fire District). Protects 1307 square miles and serves a population
            of approximate 1600 residents.
